i had the idea to start a music project to put some stuff out on. i've been really enjoying making drum beats and making sounds and altering synths to make crazy noises and i'm really loving what i've got doing on right now. i want to put my poetry to it and make something really imperfect and powerful. i think that's the ultimate aim of my project i guess, get all that feeling out, make it a good peice of work, make it so layered and dancable and intuitive and organic and a huge fucking experience... kalinka came from the name of a polish sculptors daughter from a documentary that i watched but nobody could find her... i used to consider escher's julia or pandoras slot as project names but kalinka is short and sweet... should problably get back to fucking up synths on garageband lol
