1. why isn't the website responsive?
the website is not responsive semi-intentionally and you can't use the website on your phone without crying... i will be honest, it's partially intentional because i think bringing back personal websites is a cool thing to do and having a website be solely accessible by laptop encourages visitors to divert from social media and convert to something more slow, like a website on a laptop where everything has a top and bottom, but i also don't know how to make the website responsive. i should look into it but i have not yet. if you look at my code (which i don't suggest you do) you can see that it is very... interesting. i wouldn't say it is cobbled together because it does stand up on it's own but i think trying to make the WHOLE website responsive would be a rather large and complicated task that might break the whole website... i don't really want to chance it. i also THRIVE off of the idea that i am inconviniencing phone users. makes me really happy. use a laptop!!
2. favourite colour and animal?
wow, a nice easy question. i love blue a lot. like obsessively. i'm not sure it's obvious... i like pretty much any kind of blue, but i particularly like items that are darker blue, like the colour of deep seawater, or lapis in ancient artifacts, or denim. i also like deep and dark, rich browns. i'm not sure why i like them, but they are mysterious and often have flecks of gold in that compliment the blues i choose. i have other favourites but they could be seen more as textures, like silver, or the kind of brown on bleached black fabric, or the orange that shines through light on ginger hair, or pearls, or the bands on pua shells, or verdigree, the light off water, the irredescence of vinyl, sunlight, the oxidisation process of a bubble. i think my favourite animal is just as easy of a choice. it is bears. i love bears! i had a book on bears as a kid and my toy at night was a bear. he has been with me for 20 years (since i was born). i sponsored a snow leopard so they are my adopted favourites. i have learnt to love the ginger animals i see on my walks too; i am partial to a ginger cat, an old white frosted golden retriever, or a house/tree sparrow.
3. where do you see yourself in 5 years?
i'm not really sure. i would have travelled in that time, a lot. ideally i would have my own house with my own little trinkets in it from travelling, and i would be a silversmith and i would be happy. further than that, i don't know.
